After a short hiatus, Core Guardians is back with a new updated version,
along with HUGE bug fixes, game optimization, and overall system improvement,
this version gives players FOUR NEW PVP GAME MODES, featuring: COMPETITIVE MODE!
> NEW PVP GAME MODES:
Competitive Mode is a tournament-like mode, hence the name "Competitive", that allows both players to respectively select their bans which are the Guardians they don't want to play or play against and picks to build a team of 3 Guardians each.
The ban and pick system makes the game even more interesting for both players can counter each other by scenarios like banning their favorites or quickly picking the ones that can outmatch them.
Drafting is about being smart. Unlike normal PVP quick play, Competitive mode adds more seriousness into the game and the family or friends that play it can even discuss prizes for winners.
The update also includes THREE other more Game modes:
1.) BOOSTER MODE - allows both players to play the game with full 500 Energy points the entire match. Nothing too serious, it's just for fun. Gives players the freedom to try something crazy or experiment a bit without worrying about Energy costs.
2.) TWIN MODE - version 0.2a no longer allows same Guardians for both players in normal mode and/or Competitive mode for there are bans and picks. But playing Twin mode is their chance to try which player is better than in terms of playing certain Guardians.
3.) RANDOM MODE - exactly as it sounds, it makes the players play the game without knowing which character they will get, both of them.
> FURY REWORK:
Older versions are still testing the waters but in v0.2a, Core Guardians is beginning to know itself and how these sub-features should work and how well the game will get better this way.
FURY, from being a stat that can reduce certain damage, is now reworked into a basic stat that contradicts Armor.
1.) FURY is now a stat where there's a hidden meter that can be filled through Bullet hits and overtime. Maxing it out heals your Guardian, getting bit by bit of portions of the meter also regens their health. The heal scales with your Fury and it gains 1 point each time the event procs. It can be maxed out to 30 and each Guardian has a different starting Fury points. However, gaining Armor point through picking your AC reduces Fury by 1. Additionally, having more than 5 armor no longer grows your Fury points. You still get its effects but it no longer gets increase.
2.) ARMOR now reduces more incoming damage, back then it was 100% of armor, now 200%. The cap is also changed into 15 (Meaning you can block a maximum of 30 incoming damage all the time). The reason behind this is to make Armor more crucial. However, the feature, AC enhanced which empowers certain abilities by Armor points, is completely removed from the game.
3.) Old FURY mechanic isn't removed. It works just as the same but it's now instead called as RESISTANCE and it no longer heals when you pick up the RESISTANCE (former-Fury) chips.
4.) SUMMARY:
- So basically, when playing, player needs to decide whether they want to build FURY and avoid taking the AC core of their Guardian, or build ARMOR to get more defense as they take advantage of the benefits their AC core is already giving while losing the chance of getting high Fury points.
- If you're new to the game and this makes no sense, just study and learn the latest version and disregard the older ones. These new features are way better this way so focus on this. All this information can be found and more detailed out at the HELP menu of the game.
- Out with old, here with the new. This is the ALL-NEW TRUE CORE GUARDIANS.
Note:
True damage is also now removed.
All True damage is now replaced with Vital damage instead.
Vital damage does the same thing as it did from older versions.
> We got TWO NEW GUARDIANS:
E X A L T E R
Exalter is a tank Guardian who carries a swor-- I'm sorry, a CLAYMORE that can be thrown at your opponent and impale them with it. He also has a shield that can protect him from any, I MEAN ANY damage! He's your 30th Guardian.
P R O P H E T
Moving back to 29th, the Prophet arrives with a new vision!
He's not much of a shooter, doesn't provide any huge utility, cannot pressure or bully the enemy in any way, and not even as durable as the well-known tough Guardians.
However, he has the tools to gain Energy faster than usual and the reason why this is crucial is...
...when he gets 500 Energy points, it's game over.
One move, he will foresee the future, and so, his opponent's fall.
So, beat him before then. He literally is a ticking time bomb.
